Bruschetta is a very simple appetizer. This recipe is traditional, with just tomatoes, garlic and basil. Olive oil brings all of the flavors together.
- 1 baguette cut into ½” slices
- 4 tomatoes, seeded and diced
- ¼ cup fresh basil chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- salt and pepper to taste
- ¼ cup olive oil
Lay bread sliced on a baking sheet. Brush with olive oil on both sides and broil to toast. Turn bread slices over and toast the other side. Remove from oven
In a bowl, mix together tomatoes, basil, garlic, and seasoning. Spoon mixture on toasts.
