Hummus

I have given out this recipe so many times I decided it was time to have it on the website.  This is so easy to make and I think it tastes better than any store-bought hummus.  Plus, you can adjust the flavors- more lemon, more garlic, however you like it!

  • 1 can (16 oz) garbanzo beans drained
  • ½ cup tahini
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • juice of 1 or 2 lemons (depending on size)
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste

Place all ingredients in a food processor and process until smooth.  Adjust seasoning.  Add more water if needed.  Garnish with chopped parsley and paprika.

Serve with warm pita bread triangles and assorted vegetables.
