We visited this restaurant with friends during Portland's Dining Month in March. All of the participating restaurants offer a three course set menu for $29. The space at Mucca Osteria is small and cozy, and the staff is very friendly. I had the set menu which included a salad of baby greens, gorgonzola, walnuts and pears. Beautiful salads! The main course was wild boar ragu on orecchiette which was very basic but well executed. Mark had the tagliatelle with seafood in a saffron sauce which was delicious. For dessert I had the vanilla bean panna cotta rhubarb sauce- amazing! Mark tried the tiramisu and our friends the port-infused chocolate cake. The food is good, well prepared, and traditional.
