Ate-Oh-Ate

Since we’ve been missing the Hawaiian plate lunches we enjoyed in Maui we decided to try Ate-Oh-Ate on east Burnside in Portland.  They offer an amazing happy hour menu with $5 Mai Tai’s (limit 2 per person!) and lots of small plate choices.  The tempura musubi was a first, and their macaroni salad was as good as mine (or maybe a bit better).  We also tried 3 different sliders including ones with fried kimchee, kalua pig, and shoyu chicken- all were good. They also have a great selection of plate lunches if you’re not there at happy hour, although I think Ate-Oh-Ate will make you happy just about any time.
