We took an evening ferry ride from the European side of Istanbul across the Bosporus to the Asian side to have dinner at Ciya. This restaurant is a favorite of our former exchange student Burcu. She was very excited to share this food experience with us. The chef, Musa Dagdeviren, is a food historian, and Ciya has many dishes that encompass the food history of the area. They make hundreds of dishes- 100 different kebabs alone! Each day they have a buffet behind glass to order from. The earlier you go, the more dishes you have to choose from. Burcu ordered, and every dish was a new taste treat for us. It was a memorable evening.
