533 Viet-Fusion (Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs) This was a great recommendation from a bartender at Bootlegger Tiki (we considered going back to thank him!) . We sat at the roll bar and watched them make amazing rolls with unusual and tasty combinations. We tried the Tiger Shrimp and Green Papaya Salad, Chicken Yellow Curry with Lime, and a Lemon Grass Pork Roll. Each one was an experience! We talked seriously about going back the next day to try more dishes.

After leaving an early evening party and requiring more food, we stumbled upon Zilla Sake House. They had a big sign advertising sushi, and sushi was just what we wanted! This is a small, cozy space full of art and with a friendly staff. We started with a shredded seaweed salad which was amazing and different. We tried the tuna rolls, spicy tuna rolls, and salmon nigiri. Everything was fresh and wonderfully prepared. I’m not much of a sake drinker, but as you might guess by their name they offer a large selection.

While Emilee is away at Lewis and Clark we often look for places to take her out to dinner that are close to campus. Last semester we went to Dang's and really enjoyed it. It's a bit upscale from a neighborhood restaurant and the food is excellent.
