Links
Here are links to some of my favorite cooking and foodie websites. I'll be adding more every month, so check back regularly!
www.bbcgoodfood.com I love British cooking magazines, and like most websites connected to a magazine, this one has a lot of recipes. Good Food just added a whole section dedicated to chocolate cake, so I had to check it out. It's easy to navigate, has photos for every recipe, and I really like chocolate cake!
www.tylerflorence.com He's another Food Network celeb, but this website is wonderful- huge number of recipes, great photos, and is really interesting visually. Be forewarned that if you sign up for his Twitter feed, he takes over- he tweets about 10 times per day.
www. jamieoliver.com Lots of recipes with an English twist. The site is very organized and easy to navigate. Sign up for the newsletter and receive new recipes as they are posted.
http://www.house-foods.com/ This site specializes in tofu products. This site has many recipes to inspire you to use tofu even more!
http://www.eatlowcarbon.org/ I found this site interesting. It will show you the carbon footprint of what you like to eat and how to make better choices.
http://www.thaitable.com/ I accidentally found this site while searching for another. It has recipes, ingredient explanations, and even a guide to local stores and restaurants.
http://www.edibleportland.com/ This is a local foods magazine on-line with articles and recipes from and about the people who grow and raise the food in our area.
http://bobsredmill.com/ Bob's Red Mill in Milwaukie offers many kinds of grains and flours. This site has recipes for all of them.
http://www.storytreefarm.com/ Storytree Farm is a Vancouver CSA (community supported agriculture). They raise sustainably-grown produce, flowers, honey, and more.
http://www.thedinnerhour.blogspot.com/ This is a blog that my friend Amy McFall-Prince writes that contains recipes from herself, her friends and family. She also tells stories about food and family gatherings.
http://www.macaroniandcheeseandcheese.com/ is a website from Tillamook Cheese. They have a macaroni and cheese cooking contest every year and all the winning recipes are on this site. You could even enter the next competition!
I received a BBC cooking magazine for Christmas and found a new website: http://www.beefyandlamby.co.uk/ There are hundreds of recipes for lamb and beef. You can print the recipes, and some even have instructional videos you can download. It's a fun site.
