A Moroccan Feast

Saturday Evening, September 10th, 6pm

 

La Casa dels Aigua Molls will wind up the 2011 season with another special dinner of Moroccan food.  Kim has been warming up the tagines over the past couple of weeks trying out some excellent new recipes and has come up with a menu that we know you will love.  Come celebrate the end of summer (and the beautiful fall beach weather) with us in Rockaway.  If you call soon we’ll have room for you at the table.  We’d love to see you.

 

 

Suggested donation*: $35 for food, plus a contribution for drinks

 

* As at any other restaurant, your donations and gratuity will be made

at the conclusion of the meal.

 

Menu:

  • Lamb Tagine- tender chunks of lamb braised with shallots, turmeric, cinnamon and dates

  • Fish Tagine- white fish cooked with preserved lemons, aromatic vegetables, tomato and mint

  • Cous Cous with saffron and herbs

  • Chickpea Salad- with onion, herbs, lemon juice and feta cheese

  • Orange and Radish Salad- with artichoke hearts, olives and paprika

  • Pitas

  • Filo Triangles- filled with almond paste and lightly poached in a honey-orange flower water syrup

  • A selection of red and white wine

  • Coffee, Tea, and other non-alcoholic drinks
